 As Doug and I start the walk down the road of retirement, we would like to stop and look back to thank each and everyone of you for all the years we spent together.  We enjoyed every day because of you. You will be truely missed!

We are in the final stages of selling our assets to a company that we feel will best be able to serve your training needs upon our retirement.  The incoming company is Spear & Lancaster, LLC DBA Enviro-Con Services. They will continue to teach from our current office location. They should be able to take over starting in January of next year if all goes as planned. Updates will be posted as we move forward.

Enviro-Con Services assets and list of clientele are up for sale. Doug and Laurie Shotwell are seriously considering retiring after 34 years.  Our client base includes over 2,500 individuals that consist of mold and asbestos professionals.  This includes major school districts, contractors and consultants.  We have provided online classes as well as classroom settings and onsite training. The Department of State Health Services has adopted Chapter 296 Texas Asbestos Health Protection Rules.  These new rules now replace Chapter 295 Subchapter C.  The new rules were effective on July 8, 2021.  Please refer to the Department of State Health Services website for further information and updates. 

Enviro-Con Services has now been approved by DSHS to conduct Asbestos Refresher Classes online.  The online option is only approved for those that are seeking to renew their licenses in Texas. The online classes are being closely monitored as per DSHS requirements. You are required to attend class on a computer with video and audio. You must be visible at all times other than breaks and lunch.  Enviro-Con Services, along with DSHS inspectors, strictly adhere to this requirement.  We are not able to issue certificates to those that do not follow the rules. TDLR has also given Training Providers permission to teach the Mold Continuing Education Classes online as well. The rules stated above also apply to the online mold classes. Please see our schedule page for the most current schedule of upcoming classes.
